A depressed friend hung himself in my flat, and when I called the police to report a suicide, they immediately turned it into a sex game murder a la Amanda Knox. The police inspector in charge tried delete a "suicide text message" from my mobile phone when I showed it to him. Here is a copy of that message from the criminal file:

I think therefore it is pertinent to examine the goings on around my legal defence, how the police systemically abused my rights, violated procedure; how the procureur simply refused to answer any questions he didn't like, and how three out of my four lawyers refused to insist upon receiving an answer.
Maitre Philippe Loretan simply stated that he could only ask a question once, and if Procureur Frederic Gisler did not want to answer, well, that was that, he didn't have to. Which is utter codswhallop, but if your lawyer is only pretending to act tough, this is how they do it.
It's how it goes on in Switzerland anyway.

After I got out of prison I dispensed with the state appointed attorney and called upon my regular lawyer, Me Pierre-Andre Veuthey.

My father in Sydney who was 80 years old at the time, had fallen down in the street and been taken by ambulance to hospital. He had a heart condition and the surgeon wanted to operate immediately. Can you imagine the utter despair of being falsely accused of murder, and having gotten out of prison, having your passport held by the police. Technically, they denied seizing my passport. It was merely in my house which they had seized.
I was particularly upset by the fact that while I was visibly reduced to tears at the thought of my father passing away in my absence, she took some kind of depraved pleasure from the idea.
Maitre Amandine Francey laughed at me again. She said she could technically write to procureur Frederic Gisler and ask for permission for me to leave the country, however, they may take that as heightening my flight risk and lock me up immediately again. I was particularly upset by the fact that while I was visibly reduced to tears at the thought of my father passing away in my absence, she took some kind of depraved pleasure from the idea.

I told Maitre Amandine Francey that I wanted to file a complaint against the police, to press charges for torture. She laughed at me again, saying "You can't do that! You need for them to finish their investigation first!"

I wrote to Me Veuthey repeatedly asking him to handle my case personally. He kept saying Maitre Amandine Francey was part of the team and he was assuring my defence. Apparently he had been sick, too.
My legal protection insurer DAS told me that if I changed lawyers again, I'd have to pay for them to familiarise themselves with my file. Unless Me Veuthey resigned the mandate.

I then asked Maitre Pierre-Andre Veuthey to resign the mandate, since he didn't want to handle it personally, so I could change lawyers without incurring aforementioned financial penalty.

Ok I thought, so bloody well act and make my complaint against the Swiss police in Valais for torture.
Maitre Veuthey failed to reply and refused to resign so I fired him. Take note that all previous discussions were by telephone, so he could deny I ever accused the Swiss police of torture, or that he failed to act. Which is why I wrote the above email.
Next thing I know, he sent me a childish letter saying I had become incoherent and he would have resigned the mandate if I hadn't fired his ass first.

You must be insane to deal with the Swiss, or certainly anyone from Valais!
So I did the unimaginable : I hired the lawyer of Christian Varone, the chief of police in Valais: Maitre Philippe Loretan.
Christian Varone had become embroiled in a scandal, which tends to happen when a police chief is convicted of theft, which is what happened to him in Turkey. I figured the police could not be seen to be so flagrantly flouting the law in such close proximity to the boss, and that the boss might call off the dogs to avoid further scandal. The ploy worked and incredibly my computers were returned the very next day after Me Loretan wrote a blistering letter to the public prosecutor Frederic Gisler. In his letter, on May 22, 2015, he states his shock at the complete lack of evidence in the file, not even a reason for suspicion he continues, and even asks if there is another file which he is not aware of -- and would of course be illegal.

So the Public Prosecutor, Frederic Gisler, calls Maitre Philipe Loretan and says it's all been a huge mistake.
The next week however, in writing he insists the "investigation" must continue to the end. So on the one hand they say they will close the file; on the other they continue to "investigate".

On September 23 the Public Prosecutor Frederic Gisler writes to my new lawyer Maitre Pierre Bayenet to inform him "they will soon close the file".

However, on March 4, 2016, the Public Prosecutor Frederic Gisler only partially closes the file, he drops the murder charges but decides he needs more time to think about paying my legal expenses, and my claims of torture.

So, isn't that just the craziest story you ever heard? Well, let me assure you dear reader, that there is more, much more.

Maitre Pierre-Andre Veuthey is unhappy because I disputed his bill, and for about a year I asked him to reach a settlement; and explain why he utterly failed to defend me, in fact, why he completely sold me out and watched the Swiss police rip me apart. He ignored my lawyer, just straight up didn't answer, so I assumed the matter was closed. My lawyer told me, it's over, he didn't reply; he has no come back.
But as soon as he found out I left the country, he tried to hold proceedings in absentia in order to be awarded the settlement of his choosing. I then discovered his partner Maitre Fabien Boson, is best buddies with the chief of the communal police in Martigny. They have lunch together regularly.
So how corrupt are these guys? Well, read that summons, it says you don't have to appear if you are not ordinarily resident in Valais. I declared my departure for the 31 October 2015. The authorities KNEW I HAD LEFT. Yet they sent that summons to my previous address. An accident? Well, nobody was home so normally that means you have to go personally to the post office to pick up and sign for the summons.
But no, miraculously, that summons was sent repeatedly until the new occupant at my previous address accidentally signed for it. The postman didn't check it was the right guy.

Here they go again. Now the Swiss say, because I didn't reply on time to their first summons, delivered to someone else at my previous address months after I left the country, they are going to have the hearing without me.

He had summoned me in a letter dated 7 March, to appear before him on 7 April. At that time he expected me to fly back from Australia to answer some questions.
Finally, he has provided the questions:

Chillingly he finishes off by saying, the Swiss have not accepted the fact we left the country; so he considers us to be Swiss resident still. He asks my lawyer to inform him immediately if we return to Switzerland, "even temporarily".
Procureur Frederic Gisler is asking my attorney to waive "legal privilege", and to rat out his own client. There more I think about that, the more it actually sounds like he is threatening my attorney, because if you ask someone to waive their legal rights, without offering an incentive in return, the only way to understand it, is as a threat.
Apparently in Switzerland, you cannot leave unless they let you, which sounds a lot like the FIFA scandal in QATAR, whereby foreign workers have their passports taken and cannot leave.
